Senior Bilanzbuchhalter / Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB standards. This role involves managing general and sub-ledger accounting, ensuring tax compliance, and acting as a primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors. The position is designed as a senior role with the potential to transition into a leadership position within the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and create financial statements according to HGB for the company and its affiliates.
• Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and bank accounting.
• Handle tax filings including VAT returns and statistical reports.
• Serve as the primary interface for auditors, tax consultants, and banks.
• Optimize and automate finance and accounting processes in collaboration with ERP and BI teams.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and transactions.
• Provide professional support and mentorship to junior colleagues.
