Lead Data Engineer GCP

About the role

SFEIR is looking for a Lead Data Engineer to design robust, secure, and scalable end-to-end data architectures on Google Cloud. You will lead the implementation of complex ETL/ELT solutions, define development best practices, and mentor junior team members. The role also involves modernizing client stacks and integrating GenAI services into production pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architectures such as Lakehouse and Mesh on Google Cloud.
• Lead the implementation of complex ETL/ELT solutions using dbt on BigQuery and orchestrate workflows via Cloud Composer.
• Define development best practices including CI/CD, testing, and data quality while ensuring platform observability.
• Mentor junior profiles through code reviews and pair programming while acting as a technical reference for clients.
• Modernize client stacks and integrate GenAI services like Vertex AI into production pipelines.
