Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building robust, AI-powered backend services and infrastructure that drive value for customers. You will own the end-to-end delivery of new features, collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring AI research into production, and uphold high standards for code quality and architecture. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who is energized by turning AI research into practical products.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of new features and improvements in the web application across the whole stack.
• Write both client-side and server-side code within established codebases.
• Analyze and communicate trade-offs in technical designs and drive decisions for projects.
• Partner with AI engineers to bring cutting-edge research and prototypes into production-ready features.
• Set and uphold high standards for code quality, architecture, and best practices within the team.
• Design and maintain robust automated tests to ensure reliability and quality at scale.
• Share expertise through code reviews, mentoring, and documentation.
