Engineering Manager

About the role

Supabase is looking for Engineering Managers to lead teams across various domains including core backend services, platform, and developer-facing surfaces. This role focuses on people leadership, delivery, and technical guidance, requiring a manager who can build high-trust cultures and drive project roadmaps in a remote-first environment. You will shape the engineering management function as the organization grows, matching your expertise to the team where you can have the most impact.

Responsibilities

• Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
• Run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for direct reports.
• Own the hiring plan for the team and act as the primary interviewer.
• Own the team's roadmap and project management, driving accountability and clear milestones.
• Manage workflow intake, Slack triage, and stakeholder alignment.
• Train as an Incident Commander to drive coordination, resolution, and post-incident reviews.
