Engineering Manager, AI CICD

About the role

Chainguard is seeking an engineering manager to lead a team focused on building products at the intersection of security and AI. You will own the product lifecycle end-to-end, from roadmap planning to implementation and iteration, while maintaining a hands-on technical role. This position requires a leader who can hire and grow a team while shipping developer-focused tools like hardened GitHub Actions and microVM-based products.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of products end-to-end from roadmap through implementation, rollout, and iteration.
• Hire, lead, and grow a small team of strong engineers while removing blockers.
• Stay technically hands-on by reviewing designs and PRs and prototyping when necessary.
• Partner with Product to prioritize tradeoffs and ship iteratively.
• Navigate ambiguous problems and take initiative to find clear paths forward.
• Own the quality and reliability of shipped products and incorporate customer feedback into the roadmap.
