Design System Director

About the role

The Head of Design Systems will lead the Oxygen design system, ensuring a consistent and high-quality design foundation across all Doctolib product surfaces. This role involves managing a cross-functional team of designers and engineers to scale design quality within an AI-first development environment. You will define the multi-year vision and roadmap for the system while driving adoption and governance across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Set the multi-year vision and roadmap for Oxygen, connecting the dots across engineering, design, and brand teams.
• Establish cross-functional governance across Design, Product, Engineering, and Brand teams, defining contribution models and change management processes.
• Own design output quality across the product, ensuring that AI-generated interfaces are coherent, consistent, and on-brand.
• Define and drive cross-organizational adoption, measuring adoption rate, component coverage, and contribution velocity.
• Manage and grow a team of designers, product people and engineers, setting career paths and hiring for the roles the system needs next.
