Staff Product Engineer

About the role

Ashby is seeking a versatile and persistent Staff Product Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of product features. You will operate in a high-agency, low-meeting environment where you will research, design, and implement solutions that solve complex problems for Talent Acquisition teams. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on technical and product ambiguity and prefers building over project management.

Responsibilities

• Research customer needs and competitor offerings to inform product development
• Write product specifications and create wireframes for new features
• Implement features end-to-end across the technology stack
• Collaborate with stakeholders to vet decisions and ensure project success
• Build reusable abstractions and tools to improve engineering leverage and system flexibility
• Investigate and resolve customer issues as part of a distributed team responsibility
