People Operations Specialist

About the role

Abound is looking for a People Operations Specialist to support their growing team of 200 employees across four locations. This role involves managing day-to-day people processes, including onboarding, compliance, HRIS data, and payroll administration, while also building and improving systems to support the company's scale. The ideal candidate is an organized, hands-on professional who enjoys streamlining operations and providing excellent employee support.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end onboarding, offboarding, contracts, and leave administration.
• Oversee background screening and ensure policy compliance with changing employment laws.
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and build automated workflows to reduce manual tasks.
• Coordinate payroll administration and resolve employee compensation queries.
• Manage benefits enrolment and serve as the primary point of contact for employee policy and system questions.
• Develop a People knowledge base and implement AI-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency.
• Support performance and engagement cycles and lead various People initiatives.
