About the role
Cohere is seeking a Staff Technical Program Manager to join their Generative Machine Learning organization. This role involves scaling operational capacity, managing cross-functional programs, and partnering with senior leadership to drive the development of cutting-edge foundation models. The ideal candidate will be an execution-oriented leader capable of navigating complex, fast-paced environments while bridging the gap between technical research and strategic business goals.
Responsibilities
- Establish, improve, and scale foundational processes for Generative Modeling teams.
- Scale the operational capacity and effectiveness of the Modeling TPM team.
- Adapt to long-horizon programs and ambiguous short-term challenges with company-wide impact.
- Partner with leaders to design, train, and improve core generative models.
- Lead cross-functional, company-wide programs and strategic initiatives.
- Operate as an organizational expert in improving engineering execution rigor and operations.
- Map out dependencies and risks while communicating status to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage communication flow of priorities, ideas, and knowledge throughout the organization.
