Working Student Designer (Design System)

About the role

We are looking for a Working Student Designer to join our Heartbeat AI product design team with a focus on our design system. You will help shape the shared design language, components, tokens, and documentation to ensure consistent design and shipping across our teams. This role balances high autonomy and proactive problem-solving with a thoughtful approach to design system architecture.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our scalable, code-aligned design system and help keep it consistent across Heartbeat
• Audit, structure, and document components, tokens, and UI patterns
• Support designers and engineers with reusable building blocks that speed up handoff
• Use AI and modern tools to explore, document, and iterate faster
• Partner with designers and engineers to make decisions easy to follow
