Senior iOS Engineer (KMP)

About the role

The Order Taking squad is responsible for core ordering experiences within the SumUp Point of Sale app, including checkout, catalog management, and printer integrations. As a Senior iOS Engineer, you will build new hospitality workflows and evolve existing features using SwiftUI and Kotlin Multiplatform. You will join a collaborative, fast-moving team focused on delivering reliable mobile solutions for hospitality merchants.

Responsibilities

• Design and build new ordering experiences in SwiftUI, while evolving established capabilities such as table management, kitchen workflows and printer integrations
• Contribute to shared Kotlin Multiplatform business logic and help shape the architecture of the ordering domain
• Improve the reliability and usability of ordering features used daily by hospitality merchants across phones, tablets and POS devices
• Collaborate closely with Android engineers and platform teams to maintain consistent cross-platform behaviour and reliable multi-device order synchronisation
• Take part in code reviews, pair programming and collaborative testing to maintain a high quality bar
• Help refine and scope upcoming work, bringing technical judgement to product and architectural trade-offs
• Contribute to Mobile Chapter and KMP platform initiatives across the wider POS tribe

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building production iOS applications in Swift
• Experience working in a large, established codebase
