Product Assurance Manager – Space Hardware / Mechanics

About the role

The Product Assurance Manager will lead the PA/QA team for a mid-sized company specializing in deployable reflector and antenna systems for ESA missions. This role involves designing and implementing quality processes, ensuring compliance with ECSS/ESA and ISO standards, and reporting directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will oversee quality throughout the project lifecycle and manage performance metrics for space hardware development.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and update PA/QA processes according to ECSS/ESA and ISO standards.
• Ensure complete and accessible documentation for all stakeholders.
• Organize product and quality assurance roles within projects.
• Coordinate with project managers, systems engineers, and work-package managers to integrate quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead and develop the project PA/QA team, including goal setting and performance monitoring.
• Establish, monitor, and report on KPIs, audits, trend analyses, and cost-of-quality metrics.
• Prepare and present monthly PA/QA status reports directly to the CEO.
