Entry Level Background Investigator

About the role

Background Investigators conduct comprehensive interviews and record reviews to establish the background, reputation, character, and suitability of subjects under investigation. This role involves using multiple technology systems to manage case workflows and resolve material issues to support national security initiatives. Investigators work remotely with occasional local and temporary travel requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive interviews with subjects, employers, associates, and references using VTC, phone, and in-person methods.
• Review appropriate records to obtain facts and resolve all material issues in a case.
• Utilize multiple technology systems simultaneously to maintain workflow efficiency and productivity.
• Attend multiweek intensive virtual training and participate in shadowing and mentorship.
• Travel to various locations across the U.S. for temporary duty assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 4 years of general experience demonstrating progressive responsibility in problem solving, planning, and communication
