Associate Director, Transportation UK & EU

About the role

The Associate Director, Transportation for the UK & EU is responsible for the performance, cost, and strategic readiness of the regional transportation network. This role bridges global strategy with local execution, managing 3PL and carrier relationships to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient operations. The position involves leading regional transportation strategy, optimizing freight spend, and ensuring compliance with UK and EU trade regulations.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end transportation service performance across the UK and EU, including on-time delivery and transit-time reliability.
• Define, track, and publish transportation KPIs and SLAs, leading business reviews with 3PL and carrier partners.
• Manage the regional transportation budget and freight spend, identifying trends and driving cost-optimization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a forward-looking transportation capacity strategy to support international growth plans.
• Lead RFPs, partner selection, and contract governance for 3PL and carrier relationships.
• Build peak-season and surge-readiness plans to ensure capacity and equipment commitments are secured.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align transportation capacity with forecasted demand and product launch timelines.
• Ensure full compliance with UK and EU transportation, customs, and trade regulations.

Qualifications
