Director, Management & Technology (DACH) - CPG/Retail

About the role

The Director of Management & Technology for CPG & Retail will lead a high-performing team of Value Engineers to drive process transformation and enterprise AI adoption across the DACH region. This player-coach role involves managing account growth, mentoring staff, and serving as a strategic advisor to C-level executives at major retail and consumer goods brands. The position requires a leader capable of bridging the gap between executive consulting and technical product execution.

Responsibilities

• Drive Business Outcomes & Account Growth: Take full ownership of ARR targets, renewal forecasts, and net retention across the DACH CPG & Retail sector.
• People Leadership & Coaching: Recruit, onboard, lead, and mentor a team of 6–7 Munich-based Value Engineers.
• Executive Advisory & Player-Coach: Serve as a Celonis Executive Sponsor on critical DACH deals and lead high-impact executive meetings and strategic workshops.
• Enterprise AI Champion: Partner with customer executives to position Celonis as the foundation for modern process intelligence and Agentic AI adoption.
• Ecosystem & Partner Strategy: Cultivate executive-level relationships across regional partner networks and services teams.
• Thought Leadership: Standardize and scale best practices, reusable solution blueprints, and industry-specific frameworks.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in pre-sales, management consulting, or value engineering
• Deep domain familiarity with supply chain, procurement, fulfillment, and operational processes in CPG & Retail
• Demonstrated ability to manage or mentor a team of 6–7 high-performing individual contributors
• Native or business-fluent German and fluent English
