Senior Accountant / Buchhalter

About the role

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting of a regulated investment firm with 3 billion euros in assets under management. You will manage daily bookkeeping, prepare monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB, and drive the automation of accounting processes using AI and modern tools. You will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key role in shaping the company's financial workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end bookkeeping including accounts payable and receivable in DATEV
• Prepare monthly financial statements according to HGB and support annual closing processes
• Coordinate with tax advisors and auditors
• Manage travel expenses and payment transactions while maintaining liquidity planning
• Automate accounting workflows using tools like Candis, Excel, and AI
• Handle regulatory reporting such as AWV filings
