Director of Finance

About the role

The Director of Finance will own the entire finance function and prepare the company for investment and exit readiness. This hands-on leadership role involves building a robust finance foundation, including accounting, reporting, and cash management, while partnering with founders on strategic decision-making. The role requires a builder who can manage both high-level strategy and detailed financial operations in a fast-growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance function end to end including accounting, month-end close, controlling, tax and audit.
• Build the reporting, controls, data room quality and financial narrative for investors or acquirers.
• Lead FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and scenario planning.
• Manage liquidity, payment flows and working capital across a global marketplace.
• Choose and implement the tooling, processes and controls to support company growth.
• Support M&A, partnerships and build-vs-buy evaluations with financial analysis.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in finance including experience as Head of Finance, VP Finance, Finance Director or CFO at a scale-up of 30–1,000 people
• Experience leading a company through a funding round, due diligence, an audit or an exit
