Senior Financial Systems Engineer

About the role

Berlitz is rebuilding its commercial and financial platform and is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Engineer to own the flow of money from quote and checkout through billing and payment to the general ledger. This hands-on role sits at the intersection of engineering and finance, requiring the technical authority to ensure financial data exchanges are accurate and reconciliations are reliable. You will work closely with Finance, RevOps, and external partners to design and maintain integrations that support the company's digital products.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and data contracts for order-to-cash flows across HubSpot, Stripe, Adyen, Metronome, and NetSuite.
• Build and maintain integrations using NetSuite SuiteScript, REST/SuiteTalk, PSP APIs, and iPaaS tools.
• Design reconciliation processes between payment processors, billing, bank settlements, and the ledger.
• Model complex financial scenarios including prepaid credit packages, usage-based consumption, deferred revenue, and tax handling.
• Act as the technical counterpart to the NetSuite implementation partner to review designs and ensure system quality.
• Partner with Finance to automate and de-risk month-end close procedures.
• Document the financial data model and integrations to ensure long-term supportability.
