About the role
Demandbase is seeking an experienced Senior FP&A Manager to serve as a strategic financial partner to the Engineering organization. This role involves owning headcount planning, forecasting, and spend analysis while supporting corporate FP&A processes such as budgeting and board-level reporting. The ideal candidate will provide actionable insights to drive growth and efficiency within a SaaS environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to Engineering leadership, owning headcount planning, COGS and opex forecasting, and cost center management.
- Partner with Engineering leadership on key spend drivers such as capitalized software costs, infrastructure/cloud spend, or resourcing trade-offs.
- Develop and drive product-level P&Ls to provide visibility into profitability, cost allocation, and margin drivers.
- Define and monitor key operating metrics, connect them to financial outcomes, and proactively surface trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Own and diagnose root-cause drivers behind margin performance and flag risks to leadership.
- Support the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, and long-range strategic plan across business units.
- Partner with the VP of Finance to prepare materials for the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and other financial stakeholders.
