About the role

Lightspeed is seeking a Collections Specialist to join our Finance team in a customer-oriented role. You will be responsible for managing overdue accounts, finding solutions with customers, and ensuring consistent follow-up on outstanding receivables.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of overdue customer accounts through regular calls, emails, and other contact methods
  • Work with customers to resolve outstanding receivables and ensure proper account management
  • Identify accounts for external collection agencies, prepare documentation, and manage the handover
  • Maintain communication with collection agencies and support the resolution of overdue debts
  • Create and analyze reports in Excel and Google Sheets to prioritize overdue accounts
  • Assist with month-end closing processes related to accounts receivable and payment discrepancies
  • Monitor customer accounts for late payments and irregularities to address issues early
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a solution-oriented manner
