About the role
Sanity is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Billing & Integrations team, which is responsible for usage metering, subscriptions, spend controls, and partner integrations. This is a player-coach role where you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution while staying technically involved in architecture and code reviews. You will partner with cross-functional teams to build reliable monetization platforms and develop the engineering team through mentorship and clear feedback.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of a reliable monetization platform
- Own the engineering roadmap with Product, balancing new billing capabilities, customer-facing improvements, reliability, and reducing manual work
- Guide the usage-to-invoice architecture including metering correctness, subscription lifecycle, and reconciliation
- Turn recurring plan, coupon, credit, and invoicing requests into documented APIs and self-service tools
- Develop engineers through clear feedback, meaningful ownership, and career support
- Stay technically engaged through architecture reviews, pairing, and code contributions
- Partner with Product, Growth, Finance, RevOps, and Support to align on pricing and billing requirements
