About the role

The Senior Process Engineer will lead the technical design, scale-up, commissioning, and ramp-up of battery recycling processes. This role bridges technology development and industrial scale-up, translating operational data into robust process designs for graphite and lithium extraction. You will work closely with R&D and Operations to ensure future plants are built on solid engineering fundamentals.

Responsibilities

  • Own key process design activities for next-generation plants including PFDs, P&IDs, and mass and energy balances.
  • Translate pilot and industrial operating data into reliable engineering design criteria and scale-up assumptions.
  • Apply chemical engineering fundamentals to optimize graphite and lithium extraction and post-processing.
  • Evaluate operational data to build and validate process models and identify performance gaps.
  • Participate in FATs, SATs, commissioning activities, and process performance validation.
  • Translate process design intent into clear Standard Operating Procedures and participate in process safety reviews like HAZOP and LOPA.
