Senior Manager, Technical Program Management

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to lead a team of Technical Program Managers within our Engineering organization. This role involves building out a new PMO function, defining the future of program management at GitLab, and partnering with leadership to drive operational success and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers, providing regular feedback to foster growth.
• Manage staffing requirements for the PMO and align team resourcing with business objectives.
• Create and maintain program management standards, including documentation, project plans, and status reports.
• Develop a long-term strategy and vision for the Program Management function.
• Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Security, and GTM teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and remove obstacles to ensure timely program delivery.
• Establish and track key performance indicators for programs and team members.
