Head of Security

About the role

Tremendous is seeking its first Head of Security to own the company's security posture end-to-end. This player-coach role involves assessing security gaps, driving implementation, and fostering a security-conscious culture across the organization. You will report to the VP of Engineering and have the mandate to define and build the security team as the function matures.

Responsibilities

• Own Tremendous' security posture end-to-end, partnering with the engineering team on production infrastructure and code security.
• Assess security gaps, prioritize them, and tackle high-leverage issues.
• Treat incident response as a core function to ensure breaches are contained and managed effectively.
• Drive security as a cultural shift across the company by working collaboratively with teams.
• Lead the AI-security posture, managing risks while enabling the use of AI tooling.
• Define the strategy for staffing the security function and hire your own team.
