Senior Director Software Engineering

About the role

HOLOPLOT is seeking a decisive and business-oriented Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead a 20-person team and own the long-term software architecture for high-performance audio products. This role acts as the operational bridge between software engineering, hardware development, research, and product teams to drive cross-functional delivery. You will be responsible for strategic technical vision, high-stakes project execution, and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the strategic vision for the technical backbone of the product ecosystem.
• Take full accountability for software delivery timeliness, quality, and reliability.
• Lead critical client-facing missions, OS rollouts, and on-site integration handovers.
• Attract, grow, and retain strong engineering talent to build successful, cross-functional teams.
• Drive seamless collaboration between Software, Research, Customer Success, and Product Management.
• Align software priorities and architecture directly with strategic and commercial objectives.
• Define and execute the company's AI strategy for software development and engineering workflows.
• Drive technology security strategy, including cybersecurity and secure-by-design principles.
