Team Lead / Head of Accounting

About the role

As Team Lead Accounting, you will provide professional and disciplinary leadership to the accounting team and actively shape the financial infrastructure of a rapidly growing brand. You will manage monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB, resolve complex intercompany and VAT issues, and drive process and IT optimizations. This role is central to supporting the company's growth trajectory as it aims to become a leading DTC probiotic brand.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting team for the company and its international subsidiaries.
• Coordinate and prepare monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB or local GAAP.
• Manage the monthly closing process, including intercompany reconciliations and VAT matters.
• Perform operational tasks in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
• Act as the primary contact for tax advisors, auditors, and tax authorities.
• Organize and support projects related to accounting and financial reporting.
• Optimize accounting processes and IT systems, including integration with group systems.
