Solutions Engineer, Payments Infrastructure

About the role

Formance is seeking a Solutions Engineer to help prospective customers understand their financial architecture and demonstrate how Formance's programmable financial infrastructure fits their needs. This role bridges technical depth and commercial judgment, requiring you to build proofs of concept and guide technical evaluations. You will work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with engineering and product teams to understand their financial workflows, constraints, and evaluation criteria.
• Build tailored demos and proofs of concept using Formance’s APIs and tooling.
• Guide technical evaluations, investigate questions, and help prospects assess product fit.
• Partner with sales to connect technical capabilities to business needs and move opportunities forward.
• Bring customer feedback to product and engineering, with concrete examples of gaps and recurring needs.
