Research Lead, Predictive Oncology

About the role

The Research Lead will build and direct a research programme to enhance the translational capabilities of the O-Predict platform. This hands-on leadership role involves defining the scientific roadmap, mentoring researchers, and collaborating across disciplines to translate experimental and molecular data into predictive insights for oncology drug development. The position requires a researcher capable of owning an independent programme while maintaining a strong focus on scientific rigour and publication.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain a 2-year scientific research roadmap and 12-month execution plan.
• Lead R&D execution from question formulation through method development, validation, and interpretation.
• Coordinate contributions across Data Science, Computational Biology, and experimental teams.
• Shape future data generation by co-designing studies with clinical and experimental colleagues.
• Define validation strategies, including endpoints, external baselines, and evaluation protocols.
• Translate research findings into reproducible methods and scientific requirements for product development.
• Lead the production of manuscripts, conference materials, and scientific presentations.
• Build and manage substantive scientific collaborations with clinical investigators and pharmaceutical partners.
