QA Automation Lead

About the role

The QA Automation Lead will architect, scale, and own the automated testing strategy for the Actian Data Intelligence Platform. This role involves leading a team of automation engineers to embed quality gates into CI/CD pipelines and ensuring the reliability of complex distributed systems. The successful candidate will act as a technical authority, driving a culture of quality and utilizing data-driven metrics to eliminate regressions.

Responsibilities

• Design, scale, and maintain robust automation frameworks for SaaS and distributed data architectures.
• Embed automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
• Drive integration, API, performance, resilience, and data-integrity automation across the product stack.
• Establish clean code standards for test scripts and conduct rigorous code reviews.
• Coach junior automation engineers and guide functional testers in automated practices.
• Own the final quality sign-off for platform releases and manage deployment thresholds.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams to map out automation strategies early.
• Track and report on key QA operational metrics to optimize delivery speed.
