Legal AI Engineer

About the role

Legartis is seeking a Legal AI Engineer to bridge the gap between customer legal workflows and AI product development. This role involves translating complex legal requirements into technical specifications, building and testing AI agent skills, and ensuring solutions are scalable and commercially viable. You will act as the primary legal authority within the team while directly influencing the product roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Translate customer workflows into engineering requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Build, test, and ship agent skills and playbooks to solve real-world legal tasks.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and test sets to measure and improve AI performance.
• Create standard demo environments and documentation to enable sales and customer success teams.
• Provide legal and compliance guidance on contract reviews and data protection matters.
