About the role

Statista is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Survey and Modeled Data Tools team within Data Production. You will build and maintain tools and platforms that support core data workflows, helping analysts turn complex processes into scalable and reliable solutions. The role involves a mix of data engineering, backend services, workflow automation, and AI-powered tooling to improve existing production systems and design next-generation infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with analysts, stakeholders, and engineers to design, build, and improve modeled data workflows.
  • Build and maintain backend services, data pipelines, AI agents, and workflow orchestration systems.
  • Standardize and consolidate fragmented workflows and standalone tools into a centralized platform.
  • Support, maintain, and continuously improve production-grade internal tools and workflows.
  • Contribute to platform architecture, operational reliability, and the continuous automation and optimization of analytical workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate evolving business and analyst/researcher requirements into practical technical solutions.
