Backend Developer

About the role

Qwello is looking for a Backend Developer to join their team and help design and implement backend services for their charging infrastructure. You will work on systems that support a growing fleet of charging stations and integrate with partner services. The role requires a focus on reliability, security, and craftsmanship in a collaborative, interdisciplinary startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new backend services and serverless code in Python and Rust
• Drive the transformation of system architecture to meet business needs and scale
• Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and planning sessions
• Maintain and improve the backend as part of a team
• Architect and implement distributed systems
• Practice hands-on off-premise cloud experience using AWS or similar platforms via IaC
• Collaborate with partners to integrate services
• Enhance services as the company expands
