Operations Intern for AVD (Altersvorsorgedepot)

About the role

Upvest is building the operational infrastructure for the new state-subsidised private pension system, the Altersvorsorgedepot (AVD). As an Operations Intern, you will help design and execute core processes, manage regulatory documentation, and support error handling for this new financial product. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of a regulated product from its inception.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day AVD operations including contract registration, contribution management, and payment reconciliation.
• Document workflows, build step-by-step guides, and maintain error catalogues for operational processes.
• Investigate and resolve recurring error cases from the ZfA and identify patterns for root-cause fixes.
• Assist client teams by preparing clear, accurate responses to end-user inquiries regarding subsidies and payouts.
• Identify and propose improvements for slow or error-prone manual processes.
