Manufacturing Methods Engineer

About the role

Quandela is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Methods Engineer to bridge the gap between process engineering and production. You will be responsible for transforming qualified processes into robust, scalable production standards to improve efficiency and repeatability. This role involves working directly on the shop floor to optimize manufacturing flows, train operators, and support the industrialization of semiconductor and photonic products.

Responsibilities

• Translate qualified processes into clear, executable production methods and define the optimal sequence of manufacturing operations
• Create and maintain manufacturing routings, Work Instructions, SOPs, checklists, inspection points and standard times
• Define the resources required for each operation and ensure consistency between BOM, routings, instructions and production data
• Support the setup and maintenance of manufacturing master data in ERP/MES systems
• Validate methods directly on the shop floor with operators, collect feedback and integrate improvements
• Train operators on new or modified methods and deploy standardized work
• Analyze production flows to reduce non-value-added activities and improve workstation organization
• Measure and analyze machine, operator, setup and inspection times to provide data for capacity and workforce planning
• Provide hands-on production support and implement corrective actions for recurring issues
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, VSM, PDCA and root cause analysis

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or Master's in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical or Production Engineering, or a related field
