As a Senior Motor Fleet Underwriter, you will play a pivotal role in delivering smarter, safer, and more cost-effective insurance solutions by leveraging advanced analytics and AI. You will manage and develop a large business portfolio, mentor junior team members, and contribute to team targets while helping to unlock growth into new market segments. This role involves using AI to streamline underwriting processes, allowing you to focus on high-level judgement calls and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a large business portfolio and contribute to team targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance brokers.
  • Collate data and support the Head of Underwriting in monitoring and analysing the portfolio.
  • Improve processes for gathering risk information to ensure frictionless quoting and onboarding.
  • Identify and surface improvements for policy wording and coverage to the Underwriting Manager.
  • Monitor market trends and maintain knowledge of cutting-edge motor fleet products.
  • Train and develop members of the underwriting and operations teams.
  • Utilise AI tools to extract risk information and speed up quoting while maintaining underwriting judgement.
