About the role

Speechify is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to support the growth of its text-to-speech application and lead new projects. This role involves strategic thinking, product decision-making, and building high-quality user experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Owning major features and working closely with the design team to deliver high-quality results.
• Shaping the future of the Android team.
• Owning, maintaining, and improving reliability metrics for key features.
• Participating in cross-functional discussions across Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Reviewing pull requests and supporting teammates.
• Handling critical issues and coping with unexpected challenges.
• Taking ownership of feature releases and providing nightly builds for the QA team.
