Senior Android Engineer

About the role

Oowlish is seeking an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join a cloud-native team focused on modern, customer-facing mobile applications. You will collaborate with international clients to design and deliver high-quality solutions while leveraging native Android expertise and AWS cloud technologies. This role requires strong software engineering fundamentals and the ability to work effectively in a client-facing, consulting environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, maintain, and enhance production-grade native Android applications.
• Develop high-quality mobile solutions primarily using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Collaborate with Architects and Engineering Managers to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.
• Apply appropriate application architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Integrate mobile applications with APIs, cloud services, SDKs, and external platforms.
• Write production-ready, well-tested, maintainable, and documented code.
• Build and maintain automated testing for mobile applications and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams to communicate technical decisions and progress.
