Speechify is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to support its growing user base and lead new projects for its text-to-speech platform. This role involves strategic thinking, product decision-making, and building high-quality user experiences in a fast-paced, flat organization. The ideal candidate will take ownership of major features and contribute to the future direction of the Android team.

Responsibilities

• Owning major features and working closely with our design team
• Shape the future of our Android team
• Own, maintain and improve reliability metrics for key features
• Participate in discussions across different teams - Product, Design, Engineering
• Review pull requests, and support other teammates
• Handle critical issues or cope with unexpected challenges
• Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team
