Senior Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales), Public Sector: Defence and Defence Industrial Base

About the role

The Senior Systems Engineer will serve as a trusted technical pre-sales partner for the Public Sector, Defence, and Defence Industrial Base team in the UK and Ireland. This role involves helping government and defence customers understand data platform solutions to solve mission-critical challenges, while also enabling channel partners to scale these solutions. The position requires a consultative approach to technical discovery, architecture design, and stakeholder engagement throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on discovery, territory planning, and shaping solution direction.
• Act as a senior technical lead providing mentorship and direction to colleagues.
• Translate customer requirements into technical architectures, proposals, and quotes.
• Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workshops for government and defence stakeholders.
• Enable and coach channel partner systems engineers through workshops and joint engagements.
• Validate technical fit for storage architecture, protocols, and infrastructure considerations.
