Senior Systems Engineer (Pre-Sales), Public Sector: Defence and Defence Industrial Base

About the role

The Senior Systems Engineer will serve as a trusted technical pre-sales partner for the Public Sector, Defence, and Defence Industrial Base team in the UK and Ireland. This role involves helping government and defence customers understand data platform solutions, managing technical validation, and enabling channel partners to scale these solutions. The position requires a consultative approach to solving mission-critical business and technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on discovery, territory planning, and shaping solution direction for public sector and defence opportunities.
• Act as a senior technical lead providing mentorship and direction to colleagues within the systems engineering team.
• Translate customer requirements into clear technical architectures, proposals, and solution concepts that address security and compliance needs.
• Conduct technical presentations, demos, and workshops for government and defence stakeholders.
• Enable and coach channel partner systems engineers through workshops and joint customer engagements.
• Validate technical fit for opportunities, including storage architecture and infrastructure considerations, with a focus on security and resilience.
