About the role

The Team Leader Strategic Procurement will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, digitalization, master data, and procurement controlling. This position involves developing procurement strategies, leading negotiations, and driving process improvements within a family-owned building materials wholesale company. The role includes both functional and disciplinary leadership of a three-person team.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, bundle volumes, and realize cost-saving potentials.
• Lead strategic price negotiations, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Build and develop strategic supplier portfolios including evaluation systems and cooperation.
• Establish KPIs, reporting, and dashboards for volume, prices, savings, risks, and performance.
• Drive the digitalization of procurement processes, ERP, BI, workflows, and master data.
• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership for a three-person team.
• Manage interfaces with operational procurement, sales, logistics, controlling, finance, and IT.
