About the role

The Team Leader Strategic Procurement will play a key role in managing supplier relationships, digitalization, master data, and procurement controlling. This position involves developing procurement strategies, leading price negotiations, and overseeing the professional and disciplinary management of a three-person team. The role requires a strategic and analytical mindset to drive process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within a family-owned wholesale company.

Responsibilities

• Develop procurement strategies, bundle volumes, and realize cost-saving potentials.
• Lead strategic price negotiations, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Build and develop strategic supplier portfolios including evaluation systems and procurement cooperations.
• Establish KPIs, reportings, and dashboards for volumes, prices, savings, risks, and performance.
• Drive the digitalization of procurement processes, ERP, BI, workflows, and master data.
• Provide professional and disciplinary leadership for a three-person team.
• Manage interfaces with operational procurement, sales, logistics, controlling, finance, and IT.

Qualifications

• Commercial vocational training
• Degree in Business Administration or equivalent
• 5 years of experience in strategic procurement
• 3 years of professional and disciplinary leadership experience
