Engineering Manager, Platform Security

About the role

Discord is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team of software engineers focused on reducing security risk across the organization. The role involves shaping company-wide security strategy and building secure, user-friendly systems for identity management, cloud infrastructure, and software supply chains. You will lead a highly-autonomous team to balance security requirements with high-velocity engineering needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and apply secure baselines for cloud infrastructure
• Manage infrastructure vulnerabilities while supporting a high-velocity engineering organization
• Secure first- and third-party software supply chains from development through production
• Build and operate identity and access management systems for humans and machines
• Consult on risk assessments, architectural designs, threat models, and code reviews
