About the role

The Senior Category Manager for Books will be responsible for steering and developing book categories with a focus on growth, market trends, and profitability. This role involves managing the portfolio, overseeing purchasing, and analyzing sales data to optimize the assortment within a dynamic e-commerce environment.

Responsibilities

• Steer and develop book categories with a focus on growth and profitability.
• Evaluate new releases, backlist titles, and themes based on demand and performance.
• Manage orders and ensure product availability in coordination with internal teams.
• Analyze sales figures, market trends, and competitor performance to derive optimization measures.
• Build and maintain partnerships with publishers and suppliers to identify new business opportunities.
• Continuously improve revenue and margins through data-driven decisions.

Qualifications
