Senior Frontend Engineer (Vue)

About the role

The Senior Frontend Engineer will join the Repository Management team to build secure, performant, and intuitive interfaces for GitLab's source code management systems. This role involves working with Vue.js and GraphQL to solve complex policy and repository management challenges while ensuring high reliability and accessibility. You will collaborate across functions to deliver features that support both human developers and artificial intelligence agents.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure, well-tested, performant features and improvements using Vue.js and GraphQL.
• Turn complex requirements and legacy constraints into clear solutions without compromising system reliability.
• Partner with product management, design, and user experience teams to build intuitive and accessible interfaces.
• Collaborate across functions and teams, both asynchronously and synchronously.
• Use artificial intelligence agents for well-scoped work and critically review their output.
• Write maintainable code following company standards and advocate for them through code review.
• Strengthen reliability by monitoring production health, troubleshooting incidents, and performing root cause analysis.
• Share knowledge through code review, technical documentation, and everyday collaboration.
