Software Engineer – Applications and User Interface

About the role

Salience Labs is seeking a Software Engineer to develop applications and user interfaces for their optical circuit switching technology for AI infrastructure. This role involves turning complex systems into intuitive software experiences while working closely with hardware and system test teams. The successful candidate will take ownership of features and contribute to the product's development as the company moves toward real-world deployment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain user-facing software, interfaces, and APIs for products
• Build intuitive, responsive, and reliable frontend experiences for complex technical systems
• Work with backend and systems software to integrate UI functionality with the underlying product
• Contribute to application architecture, software design, and technical decision-making
• Take ownership of software features from initial requirements through development, testing, and deployment
• Work closely with hardware, embedded software, and system test teams to understand system behavior and deliver effective user experiences
• Debug issues across the software stack and work with other engineering disciplines to identify and resolve problems
