About the role

Ecoplanet builds the operating system for the energy transition, helping European businesses manage energy efficiency. As a Platform Engineer, you will build and maintain the event streams, backend services, and cloud infrastructure that support the entire product. You will ensure reliable data ingestion from industrial sites and create a paved road for other engineers to ship and debug their own services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event streaming using Kafka, including topic design, partitioning, and delivery semantics.
  • Develop and maintain backend services in TypeScript to handle ingestion, integrations, and APIs.
  • Manage GCP cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, IAM, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define technical direction for the platform and standardize infrastructure practices.
  • Handle high-volume time-series data, including ingestion, data quality, and backfills.
