QA Engineer Mobile

About the role

ScholarshipOwl is seeking a Mobile QA Engineer to lead quality assurance, test automation, and release stability for their Flutter mobile app. This role involves working across a multi-service architecture to ensure rapid, regression-free delivery for iOS and Android platforms. The engineer will leverage AI coding assistants to maximize test coverage and shift quality left by auditing specifications and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and execute parallelized E2E smoke and regression test pipelines using Patrol integrated with Codemagic and GitLab CI.
• Establish automated contract and API integration testing to validate GraphQL schema updates.
• Integrate AI tools into daily workflows to generate test scripts, synthesize mock payloads, and automate log triage.
• Review feature specifications in Figma and GraphQL schema definitions to identify edge cases and design flaws.
• Monitor build health, analytics, and error logs to triage issues across Flutter state, GraphQL resolvers, and backend services.
• Conduct testing across iOS simulators, Android emulators, physical devices, and OTA hot-patching environments.
• Utilize Flutter Storybook for visual regression and component-level testing.
