Enterprise Corporate Engineering Lead

About the role

You will establish Corporate Engineering as a new capability within Optiver's Platform Engineering group, serving as the single point of accountability for the corporate technology stack. This role involves redesigning workflows and leveraging AI to improve how corporate functions contribute to the firm. You will lead a global team and partner with business functions to define technical strategy, architecture, and roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Define the technology vision and architecture for corporate functions.
• Set the engineering roadmap in partnership with business functions.
• Bring an engineering view of cost, feasibility, and reuse into business prioritization.
• Build and lead a high-caliber software engineering team across Amsterdam, the US, and APAC.
• Contribute materially to the software engineering output of the team.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders in finance, people, legal, and compliance.
• Make deliberate build versus buy decisions for technology solutions.
• Solve common problems through reuse, integration, and automation patterns.
