Engineering Manager - Authentication & Authorisation

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead, mentor, and grow a team of 6-10 software engineers while owning the vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for identity, authentication, and authorisation. This role involves defining and executing a migration path between SMB and Enterprise architectures while modernising auth capabilities to ensure high security, compliance, and performance. You will partner with Product, Security, and Platform teams to align priorities and foster an environment of operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy and execution roadmap for identity, authentication and authorisation across SMB and Enterprise.
• Drive delivery and outcomes for the Authentication & Authorisation team, ensuring secure and scalable systems.
• Roll out a new identity platform across Enterprise offerings.
• Define and execute a migration strategy between the SMB legacy service and the Enterprise architecture.
• Update legacy auth services to reduce risk and technical debt.
• Partner with Product, Security, Compliance and Core Platform teams to align priorities and unblock dependencies.
• Hire, coach and grow a high-performing team.
